01 Stair tower systems
The free standing or tied way up, lift by lift, with landings and handrails on both sides.
Geilenkirchen, Heinsberg district
Anyone who has to go up with tools and material every day needs a proper way up. Anton Muckel Gerüstbau plans, erects and hires out stair towers, site stairs and escape stairs.
Field note
On a ladder one hand is spent holding on. A site stair leaves both hands free, carries tools and material, and carries several trades at once. You do not notice it on the first day. You notice it at the end of the week.
So we build the way up as a structure of its own: founded on ground that carries it, tied into the scaffold, with an exit at every lift that is actually used.
A tower of its own beside the scaffold. Landing above landing, with an exit at every lift that is needed.
A second way down that stays clear when the first one does not.
Tower, lift or machine for as long as the site runs. We put it up and take it down again.
What we put up
Stair tower systems and escape stairs stand in the service list of Anton Muckel Gerüstbau alongside the rest of the scaffolding work. On site the two belong together: the working level and the way to it.
The free standing or tied way up, lift by lift, with landings and handrails on both sides.
The second way down, kept clear and kept apart from the route the material takes.
The working level along the facade, which the stair tower meets at every lift.
System components for plans that are not rectangular, and for junctions no standard part covers.
For when the load is not the person but what the person sets down.
Inside across the whole floor, or hung, where there is no bearing free below.
Weather protection, encapsulation and special shapes, where the standard answer fails on site.
Stage, stand and technical tower for as long as the event runs.
In the plant, in the vessel and in the hall, or on castors where the reach is short and the job is small.
Yard and hire
Scaffolding also means moving the material. Anton Muckel Gerüstbau runs telehandlers with various attachments as well as a lorry with a loading crane and container body, and hires out lifts with and without passenger carriage.
The three photographs below show the telehandler with an attachment for gripping and cutting timber, and the lorry crane behind it. They do not show a stair tower.
How it runs
Five steps, in this order. None of it happens before you have it in writing.
You write or call and say where, how high and for how long.
We look at the ground, the access and the points to tie into.
Erection, standing time and dismantling are fixed in writing before a single component is loaded.
The tower is founded, tied in, raised lift by lift and handed over.
We are reachable while it stands. Afterwards we clear the site again.

Enquiry
Three answers are enough for a quotation. The rest we settle by telephone or on site.
Area
The yard is in Linnich, Im Gansbruch 22. The work is done in Geilenkirchen and in the places around it.
Asked before
Site stairs means the flight itself. A stair tower means the whole structure: flights, landings, handrails and the bracing that keeps it standing. On site the two words are often used for the same thing.
That depends on the height, the standing time, the ground and the access. We work it out for your building and put it in the quotation before anything is erected.
Yes. Hire is part of the service, for scaffolding and stair towers as much as for lifts with and without passenger carriage.
Yes. Erection, standing time and dismantling stand together in the quotation.
That is decided by the situation on your site and by the person responsible there. Escape stairs are part of what we do. Talk to us if you need a second way down.
Yes. The yard is in Linnich and the work runs across the Heinsberg district and the area around it.
